Critiques
A well composed photo, stark in its simplicity. No unneeded elements are included, and it ensures that the clarity of concept is thrust into the forefront of the viewer.
Most stunning is how depth of field has been used to create a truly surreal effect. The figure in the field appears to be miniature, and this, combined with the effective colour selection, adds to the feeling of a lonely, slightly skewed existence.
If I were to suggest one improvement, it would be that the lighting on the figure appears a little misplaced. With the sun rising in the background, I feel as though there's a little TOO much detail - the mystery and surreality would have been further amplified had he been in deeper shadow.
